You are always assured of a warm welcome on visiting 'The Plough'. We invite you to drop in and enjoy a local 'Bradfield Brewery' Or 'Abbeydale Brewery' ale or a glass of wine in our cosy bar with a choice of two log burners and one real fire to burn away the winter blues. If you are looking for outside seating we have two other areas which are also popular; our courtyard which is a favourite on those summers evening or the beer garden, ideally situated on the grassy area below our sun terrace, adjacent to Highlow brook where you can listen to the sounds of the running water.
Our head chef Mark Rowan has been with us for the past 7 years and he takes great pride in his seasonal menu changes . All our food is cooked by our dedicated team of chefs, fresh and cooked to order. Should you have specific dietary requirements, please inform a member of our team who will be able to assist you. Whilst we do not serve 'fast food', we do aim to serve food as quickly as possible.
Our 16th Century Inn is situated in nine acres of its own private land which gently slope towards the banks of the River Derwent.
